Sumário:
Git is known as a version control system. It lets you track changes that you make to your code (programs). When combined with (web based) GitHub it allows you to share your work with others and is great for collaborating on projects. GitHub is very popular with R users although there are other options (e.g. GitLab).
This workshop will get you started with git and GitHub using RStudio. You will learn how to:
• set up an RStudio project with version control using git;
• set up, modify and contribute to GitHub respositories;
• send project updates from RStudio to GitHub;
Both git and GitHub are great for improving your productivity when working with R. It is a great way to manage a Master’s or a PhD thesis!

The short course is organized by Mestrado em Bioestatística, with Centro de Estatística e Aplicações da Universidade de Lisboa (CEAUL) and DEIO.
